Temporary Full Time – 35 hours per week
Initial 3 months contract with possibility of extension
Grade 2 (Bar) : £17,757 - £18,537 per annum
The successful candidate will join a large team in a fast-paced library environment
who deliver excellent customer service in state of the art facilities.
They will have a welcoming, customer-focused approach, and experience of
supporting a wide range of users.
A key responsibility of the role is to provide first line support to library users
to resolve any problems and signpost to other services as appropriate.
They will be dealing with face-to-face, telephone and electronic
queries, information retrieval and point of sale including handling small
amounts of cash. They will assist library users with access to software and equipment
and become an advocate for the use of digital resources in learning and
teaching.
The ideal candidate will have an SVQ level II/3 Higher Grades or
equivalent level qualification or equivalent experience along with excellent
customer care experience. You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft
Office packages and a genuine interest in technology.
