Working as part of a development team you will deliver new features to existing systems and facilitate the development and implementation of new systems in line with the College’s Strategic vision. 

You will assist in the design, development, maintenance and support of the planned cross-College information systems portals.  

Essential Criteria  

Must hold a relevant HND in Software Development or other relevant experience within a Software development environment
Experience of PHP or equivalent programming languages
Experience and understanding of relational databases and working knowledge of Oracle, MySQL or MS-SQL  

Desirable Criteria

Knowledge of HTML 5 CSS, Responsive design

Knowledge of JavaScript Frameworks and Libraries
Knowledge of Drupal or other Content Management Systems
Knowledge of GIT or other version control
Knowledge of Automated Build tools, Package management
Adaptable to new technologies and standards
Proven experience employing a logical approach to problem solving

Successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Disclosure Check and must be eligible to work in the UK.
